In my last post, I wrote on Ecclesiastes 3 and how seasons change, but God doesn’t change. Just as we’re aware of the natural seasons that change it’s imperative we know the seasons of God concerning spiritual matters.
With that, I want to give you things you can do in any season life throws your way!
4 THINGS BELIEVERS CAN DO IN ANY SEASON
- Pray – pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17
men ought always pray and not faint – Luke 18:1 - Praise. God’s praise continually in our mouths – Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
- Prepare – yourself through reading, studying the Word of God, so that you won’t be caught off guard when things come to pass.
Example: Noah was prepared to build Ark so that when that flood hit, he knew exactly what to do and where to go. When we prepare, we will by the power of the Holy Spirit…be able to - Persevere… To persevere means to be persistent in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Ephesians 6:18 – Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints
At the end of the day, the seasons of life, both natural and spiritual are in God’s hands. Solomon repeatedly says throughout Ecclesiastes, “God-given”. Although the seasons ebb and flow, change from one to the other God doesn’t change. He remains the same.
Be Encouraged!
