What would you do if the fate of your family was in your hands? Queen Esther found herself in this predicament during a fateful time for the Jewish people. However, the Lord chose Esther for such a time as this, despite the fear of death for herself and her people.
The Lord used Esther to aid in the deliverance of her people from the hand of Haman, an evil, vindictive employee of King Ahasuerus who wanted the Jewish people eliminated.
we are living in a fearful age
Fear, went through the citizens when the decree went out they would be destroyed. Nevertheless, God who’s not mentioned in the Book of Esther, had a different plan. Although Esther was not immediately on board, her uncle convinced her otherwise to take a stand.
14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” - Esther 4:14 NKJV
But, we who are believers in Christ are also here for such a time as this.
Clearly, we are living in a fearful age where we are hearing what the Lord Jesus spoke of wars and rumors of wars.
And, like Esther, believers in Christ, need to take a stand. As, we live in a godless world, Christ followers need to take a stand for truth, based on God’s Word.
We can take the opportunity to share the Hope of Christ through our life, our prayers, and our love.
And, who knows for such a time as this, God will use you for His Kingdom, for His glory!
