Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. - Hebrews 10:24
This season, I want to challenge you (and myself) to join the 25 Days of Encouragement!
Now that we’ve come off of the Thanksgiving holiday, we see the usual sales and deals for this and the other.
Which, got me thinking that it would be great to give a gift that doesn’t cost anything, but is both valuable, and priceless.
The gift of ENCOURAGEMENT!
This year has been especially brutal to so many families who have lost loved ones this year whether from the virus or other issues.
You may have heard the saying: Jesus is the Reason for the Season,
Well with this challenge, Jesus will be the Reason to encourage those you know who are having a tough time.
This is an opportunity to stir each other up to LOVE with the love of Christ in your sphere of influence.
Who could you encourage in this season of giving that would help to warm the heart of someone going through a tough time?
Here’s how the challenge will work:
- Beginning Tuesday, December 1st for the next 25 days leading up to Christmas,
- Post on the Facebook page: who you encouraged (their first name) and how you encouraged that person using #25daysofencouragement
- You’ll be entered into a drawing to receive two(2) $10 gift cards to Starbucks: one for yourself, and one for a friend that you would like to encourage this holiday season!
Some suggestions:
Write down the names of 25 people you would like to encourage.
You can text, email, call, send a card or even write a letter to them.
If you miss a day you can always encourage that many more people the next day.
The point of this challenge is to be INTENTIONAL about reaching out to others especially during this time of year.
I hope you will join the 25 Days of Encouragement Challenge and let me know in the comments how you plan on using it to encourage someone!
Stephanie
