To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: These are the words of wisdom.
Solomon’s point that we go through seasons in our life is very accurate. Sometimes those seasons are hard.
As the natural seasons change, so too the spiritual seasons of our lives change.
It may be spring/summer in natural, but your spiritual life may be going through a fall/winter. It may be your prayer life, your family life, church….
It’s inevitable that we will go through periods of barrenness.
Just as God created the warmth of spring and summer, He created the chilliness of fall and winter. In all of it, however, we need to realize there is a purpose in what God is doing.
Solomon lists the times of life we all find ourselves in at one point or another. A few of those times that resonate with me currently are:
A time to be born; A time to die; A time to cry; A time to laugh; A time to grieve; A time to dance; A time to hug; A time not to hug; A time to be quiet; A time to speak up;
I love how God reminds us in Ecclesiastes that there is a time for everything we go through in this life. Whether it’s a time of sorrow or laughter, life and death… there is a purpose for it.
Indeed to everything there is a season and from the beginning to the end, we may never know what God is doing in those tough seasons. However, what we can KNOW is that the Lord will make everything beautiful in His time.
Be Encouraged!
