Which news report do you trust for the latest updates on current events? A recent study by Reuter Institute shows that interest and trust in the news industry has declined:
Last year’s report contained some positive signs for the news industry, with higher consumption and rising trust amidst a second wave of Coronavirus lockdowns…. A year on and we find a slightly less optimistic picture. While a break-out group of primarily upmarket news publishers across the world report record digital subscription numbers and growing revenues, more broadly, we find that interest in news and overall news consumption has declined considerably in many countries while trust has fallen back almost everywhere.

Today the news industry doesn’t offer news so much as they offer opinions.
So many opinions, but so little truth.
I’ve got news for you, (pun intended:) If you want a trustworthy news source, look no further than the Scriptures.
When you read the Old Testament Scriptures, you’ll see the relevancy of Scripture for TODAY’S WORLD. Case in point, the Lord spoke this through the prophet Isaiah in Chapter 44:6-7 TLB:
6 The Lord, the King of Israel, says—yes, it is Israel’s Redeemer, the Lord Almighty, who says it—I am the First and Last; there is no other God. 7 Who else can tell you what is going to happen in the days ahead? Let them tell you if they can and prove their power. Let them do as I have done since ancient times.
The Lord was reassuring His people that He alone is God. He alone knows the beginning from the end. It is the Lord who is our Redeemer, the Lord Almighty who is trustworthy.
How many times have you heard news outlets having to recant a story because it was found not factual? Too many to count.
But with the Lord as our source for news and life itself, you never have to wonder if what He says is true or if it will come to pass.
He is the Lord God, and He changes not. The Lord will never need to repent of anything He has said in His Word because:
These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. - Revelation 22:6
Which news report do you trust? In the dark times we live in, it’s imperative we take God at His Word. Let Him be your “go to” source for news.
Be Encouraged!

Prayer: Father, thank you for being our Source of Truth. Help me to put my trust in Your Report, not the world’s report, In Jesus name!
